The Night Vision Inc Sacrificial Window is a necessity when operating in dusty, dirty, and hazardous environments; including military simulation and tactical scenarios. The Sacrificial Window Lens threads into objective as well as PVS-14 and ANVIS eyepieces and lenses of the PVS-14, DTNVG, BNVD, ANVIS 9, PVS-7B and PVS-7D. Our optional adapter allows for compatibility with the ANVIS-6, PVS-15, and PVS-18. This window is also compatible with any other Night Vision devices that utilize standard PVS objective accessories, and thermal device eyepieces that utilize ANVIS or PVS oculars . This sacrificial window acts as a barrier to protect your expensive optics from projectiles, as well as chips and scratches. The user can easily attach and remove the window by threading it on and off with their fingers. Note that you cannot attach the daylight training filter cover when the sacrificial window is installed. This unit has been tested to protect NVG lenses from 6mm BB’s at 450 FPS and 1.5J at up to 1.5 feet without failure. Being hit at these close aforementioned distances may cause scuffs or cracking to the Sacrificial Window Lens, however, that is its intended purpose.
