UANVB-R “Katana Ruggedized” – Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular
Precision. Strength. Adaptability.
The Katana Ruggedized (UANVB-R) sets a new standard for durability and performance in an ultralight articulating night vision binocular. Engineered from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and precision CNC-machined across multiple axes, this housing offers unmatched strength while maintaining an incredibly lightweight profile—ideal for demanding operational environments.
Designed with end-user functionality in mind, the Katana Ruggedized features:
- Individual Pod Stow Shutoff – Automatically powers down each pod when stowed to the side.
- IPD Stops – Set and retain interpupillary distance for consistent alignment.
- Adjustable Pod Tension – User-tunable articulation for personalized feel and stability.
- Low Battery Indicator – Provides a visual cue when it’s time to swap power sources.
Power comes from a single CR123A battery, delivering approximately 25 hours of runtime, or through the integrated LEMO port for extended operation using an external power supply.
With a single-piece pod geometry and tactical enhancements baked into the design, the Katana Ruggedized is built to perform in the harshest environments without compromising on weight or reliability.
